TE Integration Framework (TEIF) supports popular IT Service Management (ITSM) products, including ServiceNow, Jira, Cherwell, ChangeGear, and CA Service Desk. It also supports home-grown change management systems that use a JDBC-supported database.
TEIF can reconcile observed changes against approved change requests, automatically promoting those changes within Tripwire Enterprise.
Any changes not reconciled can be reported as incident tickets for your security or operations team to investigate (assuming API support for incident creation). Tripwire Enterprise provides full details of the unauthorized change, which can be attached to the ticket.
TEIF can query your configuration management database (CMDB) to retrieve metadata about in-scope assets such as business function or system owner, and automatically apply corresponding asset tags within Tripwire Enterprise.
A True-Up feature for ServiceNow and Cherwell integrations reports on differences between what assets ‘are’ monitored with TE vs. the assets the CMDB says ‘should be’ monitored.
TEIF provides the ability to update CIs in the CMDB with the TE compliance status from TE. This is helpful in identifying compliance failures from the CMDB directly.
In addition, with Tripwire Enterprise Integration Framework you can use data harvested directly from the node to update your CMDB’s records for the corresponding asset to ensure that Tripwire Enterprise and your CMDB stay in close alignment.
